"Hospital lottery features two dreamy homes"

In purchasing a Dream Lottery ticket, buyers will help London hospitals while having a chance to win one of two homes, one in Port Stanley and another in London.

Of the Port Stanley Home, Frank Sherifi, of Prespa Group, says, “You have a beautiful view from each floor. By the time you get to the third floor, it’s like a resort.”

The Prespa Group’s home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a double garage. Features include a sun deck, balconies on each floor and hardwood flooring. One of the two master bedrooms, with a walk-in closet and a huge walk-in shower, encompasses the entire third floor.

Sherifi estimates each floor is over 1,100 square feet. “People can’t believe there is so much living space,” he says. “They love the layout. We’ve had nothing but good comments about it.”

Pre-wired with the latest technology – including an intercom, smart TVs speakers, alarm system and more – everything in the home can be controlled from an iPhone or iPad.

“You can lay on the beach in Florida and control everything from there,” Sherifi says.

Carmine Gargarella, of Bridlewood Homes, says the London home has “a subtle modern twist that’s light and fresh.” It features 10-foot ceilings on the main floor, with “cabinets that go right to the ceiling,” four bedrooms, five bathrooms and a great room showcasing a beautiful fireplace. He gives credit to designer Kim Morphy.

The master ensuite opens to a large master bedroom with a sitting and desk area. The fully-finished basement includes a lounge area. The garage includes a “man cave,” with a storage system, work bench and a set-up “made up of beautiful natural wood” for hanging bikes, tools, recycling bins, etc. Gargarella notes the subtle trim details on the walls give them “some life that they might not otherwise have.”

This is the first year the Prespa Group has been involved in the lottery, while Bridlewood Homes has built 12 lottery houses since 1994. Both enjoyed working with the organizers immensely. Gargarella says while it’s a lot of work, it’s also a lot of fun, adding “tradespeople and suppliers step up.”
